About the Busoga Association UK
BAUK was established in June 1996 by
members of the Busoga community initially as a social group to
help people integrate into life in the UK. It was
officially registered with the Charity Commission in 2000 (no: 1081149).
Its constitution was amended in 2006 to reflect its
international work.
-
It is a membership organisation, and free to join. Our members make up the majority of the Executive
Committee.
-
In the UK BAUK does health promotion,
life skills training drop in advice & social events. Programmes are open to all & there has
been a marked increase in uptake from other communities in
Hackney.
